Nestled in the heart of Godalming, Thai Home offers an authentic taste of Thai cuisine that transports diners straight to the bustling streets of Thailand. This charming, family-run restaurant at 6 Bridge St invites guests into a warm, inviting setting where the vibrant energy of Thai culture harmonizes beautifully with a relaxed, sweet café vibe.
Thai Home’s menu is a treasure trove of classic and beloved dishes that showcase the rich, bold flavors characteristic of Thai cooking. From the perfectly wok-tossed Pad Thai, with its delicate balance of tamarind and peanuts, to the fragrant and comforting Tom Kha Gai—a creamy coconut chicken soup tinged with galangal and lemongrass—each dish bursts with authenticity.
Seafood lovers will find the Crispy Squid Chilli Garlic irresistibly crunchy with a tantalizing kick of spice, while the Hot and Sour Shrimp Soup offers a bright, zesty warmth that awakens the palate. The Crispy Pork Belly Garlic Chilli is another standout—succulent, crispy, and bursting with complex layers of garlic and spice that linger languidly on the tongue. Balanced with fragrant Stick Garlic Rice or fluffy Egg Fried Rice, the meals here are nothing short of a celebration of Thailand’s diverse culinary heritage.
For those seeking lighter fare, the fresh and zingy Papaya Salad and robustly seasoned Grilled Pork Salad provide perfect contrasts to the richer curries and soups. The curries themselves—ranging from the creamy, slightly sweet Massaman Curry to the fiery depths of Green Curry and the richly aromatic Panang Curry—are all crafted with careful attention to traditional spices and ingredients.
What truly sets Thai Home apart is its heartfelt hospitality. As several guests have noted, the owner’s warm, familial approach transforms every visit into a truly personal experience. The ambiance is a delightful mix of casual comfort and vibrant Thai character, making it equally perfect for a relaxed lunch or an intimate dinner.
Regulars rave not only about the food but also the inviting atmosphere, describing the space as “unassuming” yet filled with genuine charm. The iced coffee here deserves a special mention, offering a sweet, refreshing finish to a rich, satisfying meal.
Whether you’re new to Thai cuisine or a seasoned aficionado, Thai Home promises an unforgettable journey through authentic flavors that are hand-crafted with love and passion. With every bite, you’ll feel the warmth of home, the excitement of discovery, and a deep appreciation for the art of Thai cooking.

The most authentic Thai food that you can find in Surrey! Amazing crispy pork and the iced coffee is a must try! Fair price and I just wanna eat everything here !
Has really good Thai food with a variety of options. Definitely recommend the dessert!
This is my new favourite. Everything I hoped for and more in a small family run unassuming, unpretentious Thai restaurant. Great food, great service, chilled atmosphere. I'll be going back (a lot)!
Here, you can find tasty affordable Thai food. The menu is packed with options, from classic Pad Thai to soup noodles, all surprisingly delicious. The vibe is super casual and friendly—perfect for a laid-back meal with friends or family. Don’t expect fancy decor - after all, they sell Thai street food. The staff are welcoming and quick to help out, making you feel right at home. Especially appreciate when the Thai staffs try their best to connect to locals, Asians and Thai. It's like a wonderful fusion of culture in the restaurant. (I read some negative comments about the female staff. I am not Thai but me and my children never found her rude. We heard people speak Thai and the language is funny- maybe the language sounds different from English that caused the misunderstanding?) Just remember, it’s not a Michelin-star restaurant, but a delicious Thai food restaurant at fast-food prices. I would not expect a server come to me with a tuxedo, or introduce every dishes to me. Having visiting the place for many times, I am always happy with the food, the service and the bill .
